В начале ХХ в. эволюция научных исследований в сфере электрофизиологии потребовала создания технологий дистанционной передачи электрокардиосигнала по телефонным линиям связи (для проведения масштабных экспериментов). В середине столетия появился запрос со стороны практического здравоохранения на развитие научного познания метода транстелефонной электрокардиографии. С позиции истории науки и техники эти события и процессы остаются неизученными. Установлено, что процесс научного развития транстелефонной электрокардиографии отличался синергией эволюции инженерно-технических и методологических аспектов. Становление и совершенствование данной области знаний связано с деятельностью нескольких объединений учёных, соединявших представителей медицинских и инженерных дисциплин. Многолетнее научно-техническое развитие транстелефонной электрокардиографии привело к появлению системы научных знаний о технологиях передачи данных и об организационно-клинических способах их практического применения. Это послужило основой для общегосударственного внедрения научно обоснованной модели дистанционной кардиологической помощи. Модель стала причиной положительных социальных преобразований.

The History of Scientific and Technological Development of Transtelephonic Electrocardiography in the USSR (1960–1991)

In the early 20th century, the evolution of electrophysiology research demanded the creation of
technologies for distant transmission of electrical cardiac signals via telephone lines as a tool for
large-scale experiments. In the mid-20th century, there was practical health care request for the
development of scientific knowledge underpinning the method of tele-ECG. So far, these events and
processes have been unexplored from the standpoint of the history of science and technology.It has
been established that the process of scientific development of transtelephonic electrocardiography
was characterised by the synergy of the evolution of engineering, technological, and methodological
aspects. The formation and advancement of this field of knowledge is associated with the activities of
several associations of scientists that brought together the representatives of medical and engineering
disciplines. Scientific and technological development of transtelephonic electrocardiography over
many years resulted in the emergence of a system of scientific knowledge about data transmission
technologies and about organisational and clinical methods for their practical application. It formed
the basis for nationwide implementation of a science-based model for remote cardiac care. This
model caused positive social changes.
