The review of the symposium “Forgotten pages of the history of genetics”, which was held on the 23rd September within the VII International Conference of the European Society for the History of Science (22-24 September 2016, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic). The participants’ goal was to fill in some gaps in the history of genetic research in the countries of Eastern Europe, Germany and Russia.
