В публикуемом отрывке из воспоминаний Э.И. Колчинского, находящихся сейчас в издательстве «Нестор-История», рассказывается о трехгодичном пребывании ленинградских историков биологии ИИЕТ АН СССР в Ботаническом институте им. В.Л. Комарова АН СССР. На фоне различных реорганизационных пертурбаций, происходящих с сектором истории и теории эволюционного учения, раскрываются взаимоотношения научного сообщества и власти в 1970-х гг., мотивы и стиль поведения ряда крупных учёных, освещаются некоторые моменты XII Международного ботанического конгресса в 1975 г.

This piece presents an excerpt from the memoirs of Eduard Kolchinsky (submitted for publication in Nestor-Historia) and tells of the 3-year period when Leningrad’s historians of biology were located in the Komarov Botanical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Against the background of the various organisational shifts and changes applied to the department of the history and theory of evolutionary thought, the relationships between the academic community and government in the 1970s, as well as the motives and action patterns of some eminent scholars, are revealed. It also sheds light on several moments in the history of the XII International botanical congress in 1975.
