In the event of conflicts over copyright infringement by the author of the publication, the editorial board of the Istoriko-Biologicheskie Issledovaniya / Studies in the History of Biology (SHB) disclaims responsibility for such infringements, since it does not violate directly or indirectly the copyright of the creators of illegally borrowed content. All claims by authors whose copyright has been violated should be sent to the authors of publications that violate such rights. However, if the fact of illegal borrowing is discovered and proved, the editorial board undertakes to publish in the next issue of the journal an information note about the case of violation by the publication posted on the pages of the journal, copyright, indicating the original author.
Self-plagiarism is also not valid. When a text is detected with a previously published data by the author, the text is rejected without review. If this fact is discovered after the publication of the material, a refutation will be published in the journal.
